"For there is always light. If only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it."

  • PAYMENT

Payment is due at the time of service. All major credit cards, cash, checks, and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards are acceptable forms of payment. Simple Practice is the secure system used to process payments received from cards.

There are a limited number of sliding scale spots per year. The sliding scale for cash pay clients begins at $85 per 45 minute hour and is based on financial need and availability. Consult your clinician for additional details.

    CASH

I offer a 10% discount for cash payments ($112.50). Additionally I offer a 15% discount for those who are willing to pay for 3 sessions in cash in advance ($318.75) . Inquire for additional details (*Not to be combined).

  • CANCELLATION POLICY

Your appointment time is reserved just for you! If you are more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment (virtual or in-person) you will be responsible for the full session fee. If you do not show up for your scheduled session, and you have not notified your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay for the full fee of the session. Canceling less than 24 hours prior to your appointment will be subject to the full fee.

  • INSURANCE

As a licensed clinician, I am an out-of-network provider for all insurances that provide out-of-network benefits. I’d be happy to provide you with a receipt or a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Ask your carrier about your plan's coverage for out-of-network outpatient mental health services.

  • BENEFITS OF PRIVATE PAY

    (1) There is no need for a formal diagnosis to receive services. There are times we need a space to work through things that we are going through in life (i.e. life transitions, work stress, someone outside a family member/friend to work through difficulties experienced or simply a space to process thoughts and emotions, etc.), that may not fit into a diagnostic criterion and may limit services being covered by insurance companies.

    (2) Frequency of sessions are not limited by insurance companies. We can decide together how often to meet weekly/monthly and how many sessions without restriction.

    (3) Information will remain confidential within the limits of the law and will not be released to insurance companies. Insurance companies require a diagnosis and will periodically do audits to gather treatment plan/progress information to determine the need for continuation of services.

  • COURT & LITIGATION

Therapy services for families experiencing high conflict divorce situations as well as reunification therapy which require court-related interventions accrue additional costs. If an attorney issues a subpoena for court, litigation fees are as follows.

$250/(60 minutes). A minimum of 4 hours will need to be blocked and payment ($1000) a week ahead of time of the scheduled litigation appearance is required. This is to account for potential delays with the court and other client sessions canceled for that time. Payment will be due to the party issuing the subpoena.

$100/(30 minutes). Any litigation work done in preparation for court testimony (e.g. consultations with attorneys, phone calls, declarations, letter writing, etc.) will be charged to the respective parent that initiated the clinician’s involvement.

  • DISCHARGE PLANNING

Therapy generally lasts 6 months to a year depending on each individual’s needs. Reassessment will occur at 1 year to determine the continuation of care or discharge planning.

After 2 consecutive no call/no show’s you will be discharged from services.
